Samhain Celebration (The Celtic New Year)
The Wild Hunt is a form of ritual battle against the coming forces of death and destruction. Here at the gateway of Samhain, we work with the Bone Mother to help the souls of the dead cross over, as we gently sing them home. The Fomorian gods of chaos are kept at bay as we dance the hunt in a collective shamanic experience.
A Shamanic Celebration:
- Celtic Fire Ceremony with the Ancient Wicker Man
- Wild Hunt, A Collective Shamanic Experience
- Ceremonial work with the Bone Mother
- Sacred Oak Knowledge Offerings
- Dedication to the Land and the First People
- Trance Dance
- Journeying and Visionary Dreaming
- All Night Drum
Bring a covered dish (call for details of what to bring), a clootie, a stone as big as your fist, a rattle, a bandana, a journal, and come in costume, dressed as an archetype, faerie sprite, or power animal. Bring a ceremonial spear, sword or club for the Wild Hunt. Do not come in everyday clothing!
This is a hands-on course, experiential learning through the practice of the Celtic indigenous culture. Participants should have some understanding of shamanic journeying.
